About Audrey

"What is seeing beyond what you think should be, dear daughter?" Rise of the Mystics

I always wanted to be a writer. I dreamt of writing novels, science textbooks, and having a column in Missouri Conservationist magazine. I can remember sitting in my cousin's bedroom close to midnight as we tried to print off her first draft of her fantasy novel before we caught a plane to Seattle, headed towards Canada. We ran out of black ink, so we had to use magenta. Then, we ran out of copier paper and had to use looseleaf notebook paper we found, which we then put in upside down. It was a hilarious disaster, and I admired her commitment and creativity towards her work.

Fast forward to now, and I've reentered the blogging world after almost a decade of failed attempts. If there's one thing I'm learning about the Lord, it's that He's in no rush to complete the good work started in each one of us. If you're discouraged, just remember there's joy in the journey with Him. Joy comes as the refreshing wave that crashes over the disappointment, heartache and disaster.

I pray that you find truth and encouragement in this place. That your dreams and hopes are reignited with a passion for the Kingdom of Heaven, and you pursue the Lord with a zeal and trust that can only come from jumping in blind faith. There's still room at the table, and in the Kingdom for you. It isn't too late. Dream again.

Are you ready?
